Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has warned opposition political parties to take urgent steps ahead of the forthcoming election, alleging that plans are being perfected to rig them out of the contest.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele claimed that the alleged rigging technique being planned would be unlike anything previously witnessed in Nigeria.
According to the cleric, opposition parties risk being caught unprepared if they fail to act quickly.
“If the opposition doesn’t do the needful now, they will rig them out with a kind of high-level technique,” he said.
“It will be the kind that has never happened in Nigeria before. If care isn’t taken, it will happen, and there is nothing the opposition will do about it.”
Primate Ayodele further alleged that the plans would be set in motion about 10 days before the election, claiming that the ruling party was determined to secure victory.
“The rigging plans will be set in motion ten days before the election. Every plan will be perfected by then because the ruling party is desperate to win this election. The opposition hasn’t shown seriousness yet to win this election,” he added.
The cleric also claimed that President Bola Tinubu was determined to win the election, while warning that some governors may not emerge victorious through what he described as a free and fair process.
He further alleged that the All Progressives Congress, APC, would soon hold a strategic meeting involving individuals he described as technical riggers and some electoral officials.
“President Tinubu will do anything to win this election; he is very desperate and serious about this election. Many governors will not win free and fair in this election.
“Also, I see APC holding a strategic meeting with technical riggers and some electoral officials.
“Nigerians will not be aware of it, but that will be where the rigging plans will be perfected. The opposition must wake up now,” he added.
The allegations are Primate Ayodele’s claims and predictions, and no independent evidence was provided in the statement to substantiate them.
