Billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote hosted Burna Boy and music executive Cecil Hammond for Iftar at his residence during Ramadan.
A viral video from the gathering shows Burna Boy, dressed in a navy blue two-piece outfit and durag, exchanging pleasantries with Dangote and other guests.
Hammond shared a photo on Instagram, captioning it, “Bringing the legends together, one smile at a time,” hinting at his role in facilitating the meeting.
This follows another high-profile gathering last week, where billionaire Femi Otedola hosted Burna Boy, Hammond, and Wizkid. Otedola called it a “true privilege” to engage with Afrobeats icons.
Burna Boy, one of Nigeria’s most influential musicians, gained fame with Like to Party (2013) and won a Grammy in 2021 for Twice As Tall.
Hammond, CEO of Flytime Promotions, is a key figure in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
