Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has suggested that estranged music duo Peter Okoye (Mr P) and Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) should settle their long-running dispute by facing each other in a boxing ring instead of continuing their public war of words.
The actor made the remark during an interview on Max FM, where he expressed concern over the persistent public exchanges between the former members of the defunct music group Psquare.
‘Let Them Settle It in the Ring’
According to Okocha, the brothers’ repeated accusations against one another have become excessive and no longer serve any useful purpose.
He proposed that both men could channel their differences into a controlled boxing match, arguing that such an event would be viewed as entertainment rather than a platform for hostility.
Okocha noted that a showdown in the ring would likely attract huge public interest, with fans willing to pay to watch the event.
“Rudeboy and Mr. P should get into the ring. Let them get into the ring and settle all these, you know, coming out, talking, talking. It is becoming too much. It makes no sense at their age,” he said.
‘People Will Buy Tickets’
The actor added that if the brothers were determined to confront each other, doing so in a boxing match would be a better alternative to airing their grievances on social media.
He said such an event could entertain fans while giving both parties an opportunity to put an end to their disagreement.
According to him, there should be no room for hatred or personal animosity, stressing that the contest would simply be entertainment.
“If it’s possible to squash it out in the ring, no problem. It’s called entertainment because a lot of people will buy tickets and people will come to watch. There’s no room for animosity or hate,” he added.
Okocha Rejects Social Media Feuds
Speaking further, Okocha said he does not believe in taking personal or family disputes to social media.
He explained that disagreements are a normal part of life but should be resolved privately rather than turning them into public spectacles.
The actor argued that involving strangers in personal conflicts often complicates matters unnecessarily, especially when members of the public are unaware of the full circumstances behind such disputes.
He maintained that family issues should be settled discreetly instead of being discussed repeatedly online.
Psquare Rift Continues
The comments come amid renewed tensions between Peter Okoye, Paul Okoye and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, over allegations involving the management of the former Psquare brand and financial dealings.
The dispute has dominated entertainment headlines in recent weeks, with Peter releasing a series of videos detailing his grievances, while Paul and other individuals have also publicly responded to some of the allegations.
Charles Okocha’s remarks add to the growing number of celebrities calling on the Okoye brothers to find common ground and bring their long-running family feud to an end.
