The naira continued to trade within a narrow range against the United States dollar on the parallel market, commonly referred to as the black market.

Black Market (Parallel Market) Rates
- Selling Rate: ₦1,430 per $1
- Buying Rate: ₦1,410 per $1
In the official window, rates provided by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) show a slightly lower exchange range.
CBN Official Rates
- Highest Rate: ₦1,391 per $1
- Lowest Rate: ₦1,380 per $1
The CBN has consistently maintained that it does not recognise the parallel market and has advised individuals and businesses seeking foreign exchange to transact through authorised financial institutions such as commercial banks.
It is important to note that exchange rates may vary depending on location, volume of transaction, and the dealer involved, meaning actual buying or selling prices could differ slightly from the figures listed above.
