Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze, has strongly criticised women celebrating Nigerian singer Chike amid the ongoing controversy surrounding his alleged romantic relationship with Sandra Edoho, the estranged wife of TV host Frank Edoho.
Chike has remained a trending topic on social media following reports and leaked audio conversations linking him romantically with Sandra, a situation many online users believe contributed to the collapse of her marriage to Frank Edoho.
Despite widespread backlash against the singer, some female fans were recently seen taking photos with Chike during an event in Lagos, a development that appeared to anger Daddy Freeze.
Reacting in a video shared on his Instagram page, Daddy Freeze condemned Chike’s alleged involvement with a married woman, arguing that many men avoid such relationships because they fear similar situations could happen to them in return.
“Chike no try at all. Make una leave Chike. One of the reasons why some men don’t touch women is because they don’t want it done to them,” he said.
“Because, if you knack a person’s wife, they must knack your own. If you knack married women, them must knack your wife, so no dey knack married women.”
The outspoken media personality also expressed disappointment that Chike reportedly released a new song amid the controversy, suggesting that public support for the singer was encouraging the behaviour.
“Them say Chike don release album, it’s because people are willing to buy, that’s the problem,” he added.
Daddy Freeze further maintained that although Frank Edoho and Sandra could both be viewed as victims of the troubled marriage situation, Chike should not be glorified or celebrated.
“Like I said earlier, Frank Edoho might be a victim, his wife might be a victim but Chike is not a hero,” he stated.
He went on to lash out at women publicly celebrating the singer despite the allegations surrounding him.
“All the women celebrating Chike, you are all useless. God will punish all of you celebrating this cockerel and chicken,” Daddy Freeze said.
The controversy involving Chike, Sandra Edoho and Frank Edoho has continued to dominate social media conversations in recent days, with Nigerians divided over the leaked recordings, allegations of infidelity, and reactions from celebrities weighing in on the matter.
