Nedu Wazobia Raises Concern Over Cost of Living, Urges Nigerians to Vote Wisely
Popular Nigerian media personality, Nedu Wazobia, has expressed concern over the rising cost of living in Nigeria, urging citizens to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote wisely in future elections.
Nedu raised questions about how much an average Nigerian needs to earn monthly to survive amid increasing food prices, transportation costs, inadequate healthcare and growing insecurity across the country.
He also referenced a report by a financial services firm which reportedly revealed that only about 2.4 per cent of Nigerian workers earn more than ₦200,000 monthly.
According to him, the figures highlight the financial difficulties confronting millions of Nigerians as they struggle to meet their basic needs amid prevailing economic challenges.
The media personality’s comments have drawn attention to the widening gap between workers’ earnings and the cost of maintaining a decent standard of living in the country.
He encouraged Nigerians to take their civic responsibilities seriously by obtaining their PVCs and participating in elections, stressing the importance of making informed choices at the ballot box.
His remarks have renewed conversations about the economic hardship facing Nigerian households and the need for policies that address the rising cost of living, improve access to healthcare and strengthen national security.
