The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially launched free online membership registration across Nigeria, following the successful kickoff of its nationwide registration and revalidation exercise in Abuja last month.
The party’s new digital platform, accessible via adcregistration.ng, is designed to align with the requirements of the Electoral Act 2026, which mandates political parties to maintain verified digital membership registers.
Only individuals whose details are fully captured and verified on the party’s official digital register will be eligible to vote or be voted for in ADC primaries.
Since the launch of its physical and grassroots membership exercise in February, the party has recorded strong interest from Nigerians across states and the diaspora.
The online registration option aims to remove barriers, simplify enrolment, and ensure that every eligible Nigerian who wishes to identify with the ADC can do so seamlessly and securely.
Members who previously registered on the party’s former platform are required to revalidate their membership on the new portal, as additional information is now mandatory to ensure compliance with the Electoral Act and INEC guidelines.
Support groups and associations have also been encouraged to take advantage of this registration window by completing the simple onboarding process on the platform.
The ADC stressed that the digital membership exercise is conducted without prejudice to its objections to certain provisions of the Electoral Act 2026, which it says give undue advantage to the ruling party, and the consequential INEC timetable.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to building a modern, inclusive, and citizen-driven political movement capable of delivering credible leadership and a better Nigeria that works for all.
