Mohammed Sadis Buba, a 30-year-old aspirant from Kaduna State, has successfully completed the screening process of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the party’s primary election for the Sabon Gari Zaria Federal Constituency seat.
Buba, who is physically challenged, appeared before the APC screening committee as part of his bid to secure the party’s ticket for the upcoming election.
Speaking after the screening exercise, the aspirant disclosed that Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, is fully aware of his ambition to contest for the federal constituency seat.
Explaining the motivation behind his decision to join the race, Buba said his aspiration was driven by calls from people within his constituency who believe he can represent them effectively.
“It is not about me. It is my people that called me to serve,” he stated.
The APC aspirant further revealed that he is contesting against an incumbent lawmaker who is also seeking the party’s ticket and is not willing to step aside.
“My people called me to come and serve, and I am ready to serve. We are only two running for the APC ticket. My opponent is a serving member,” he added.
Buba’s emergence in the race has continued to attract attention, with many observers describing his participation as a strong statement about inclusion and political representation in Nigeria’s democratic process.
