The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Lekki-based real estate executive Kolapo Oladapo following what it described as an extensive nationwide drug enforcement operation.
The agency said Oladapo, who had been on its watchlist since last year, was apprehended at his residence in Ikate, Lekki, on February 12, 2026, shortly after returning from the United Kingdom.
According to the NDLEA, a search of the property led to the discovery of four large bags containing 89.2 kilogrammes of a potent strain of cannabis popularly known as “Canadian Loud.” Operatives also recovered a 2024 model Toyota Hilux during the raid.
Before his arrest, Oladapo was publicly known as the chairman and chief executive officer of Trans Fortress Global, a real estate company.
The agency alleged that during interrogation, Oladapo confessed to running a drug distribution network.
He reportedly stated that he ventured into the illicit trade after financing shipments for an overseas associate and receiving hundreds of millions of naira as profit.
According to the NDLEA, the financial returns motivated him to establish an independent distribution channel.
In a related development, the agency arrested a 35-year-old businesswoman, Rabi Muhammad, at the Seme land border after she allegedly attempted to cross into the Benin Republic with a fake pregnancy bump concealing 3,200 capsules of tramadol.
Similarly, Michael Gohouri, a 41-year-old Ivorian national also known as Anunwa Michael, was arrested at Kano International Airport while attempting to board an Ethiopian Airlines flight to Milan, Italy.
The NDLEA said he had ingested 82 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.49 kilogrammes. A body scan reportedly confirmed the presence of the substances, and he was allegedly promised €5,000 to transport the drugs to Milan.
