A Nigerian lady has sparked controversy online after claiming that women do not genuinely love men, including their husbands, but are primarily attracted to what they can provide in relationships.
The lady argued that financial support, protection and other benefits were the major reasons women remained committed to their male partners.
She insisted that men should not mistake a woman’s affection or commitment for genuine love, warning that their partners could change when they could no longer meet their financial expectations.
In her address, the lady maintained that a man’s ability to provide for a woman played a significant role in determining how long she would remain with him.
She said, “No woman on earth loves you, including your wife. I repeat, no woman on earth loves you, including your wife.”
She further argued that men who believed their wives loved them unconditionally might have a different experience if they lost their sources of income.
The lady, however, made an exception for mothers, describing maternal affection as the only genuine love men could receive from women.
She said, “The only woman wey fit love you for this life na your mama. Only your mama love you.”
Lady’s relationship claims spark wider conversation
Her sweeping statements have brought attention to ongoing conversations about financial responsibilities, gender expectations and emotional commitment in relationships.
While she presented her views as a warning to men, her claims also raise questions about whether financial provision should determine how love is understood between partners.
She did not provide evidence to support her generalisation about women, and her comments remain her personal opinion rather than an established fact.
