A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing a video showing her seven brothers prostrating before her during her sign-out celebration.
The lady, who is reportedly the only female child among seven boys in her family, appeared excited as her brothers paid homage to her during the celebration.
Sharing the video on social media, she captioned it: “Only girl among seven boys, but na me be king.”
The unusual family moment quickly attracted attention online, with social media users expressing different opinions about the gesture.
While some users viewed the act as a playful demonstration of sibling love and respect, others questioned the decision of the seven brothers to prostrate before their sister simply because she had completed her academic programme.
One user jokingly focused on the lady’s future relationship, writing, “Omor, the person that will marry the girl….”
Another commenter raised questions about gender expectations and traditional notions of respect, writing:
