Nigerian singer Skales has recounted how Grammy-winning artiste Burna Boy allegedly pleaded with Davido to allow him to join his private jet for a performance in Yola, Adamawa State.
The singer made the revelation while recalling an experience involving a show where he and Burna Boy were booked to perform in the northeastern Nigerian city.
According to Skales, Burna Boy contacted Davido and requested permission to travel with his team on the private jet.
He said Davido agreed to the request but the aircraft was already full, forcing the singer to ask one of his team members to travel the following day to create additional space.
Recounting the incident, Skales disclosed that the flight was so crowded that someone had to sit on the toilet seat because there was no available space.
He further revealed that Davido showed him kindness during the journey by giving up his seat for him.
“Burna called Davido and said, ‘Please, can I join their jet?’ Davido said, ‘Why not?’” Skales recalled.
The singer also disclosed that he eventually performed alongside Burna Boy in Yola.
According to him, the performance and the connections he made during the trip opened another opportunity in his music career, eventually linking him with American music group Major Lazer, with whom he later collaborated on music.
