Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu and his son, Seyi Tinubu, to increase his payment following his participation in an All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Lagos.
The singer made the demand after participating in campaign activities and entertaining supporters at the political gathering held at Onikan Stadium on Tuesday.
Videos circulating on social media showed Portable moving around the venue and engaging with supporters during the event organised in support of the Tinubu-Shettima political ticket.
However, one of the viral clips captured the singer lying on the floor and insisting that he wanted to meet the president and Seyi Tinubu before leaving the venue.
His manager, Babylov, was also seen attempting to persuade him to get up as they prepared to leave the stadium.
Portable reportedly fainted amid overcrowding at the event, although the circumstances surrounding the incident have not been independently confirmed.
Despite acknowledging that he had received payment for attending the rally, the singer insisted that his efforts and the physical stress he experienced warranted additional compensation.
In the viral video, Portable was heard appealing directly to the president and his son for more money.
“I want to see Tinubu and Seyi Tinubu; they have almost squeezed me to death. I have fainted; it is Tinubu that is winning. Did we not collect money? Tinubu, pay me more money; I am feeling so much heat,” he said.
