Nigerian social commentator Geh Geh has triggered widespread reactions online after sharing a lengthy video offering relationship advice to men.
The viral video surfaced shortly after media personality Frank Edoho reportedly followed him on social media amid the ongoing controversy involving Frank’s estranged wife, Sandra.
In the clip making rounds online, Geh Geh made several controversial statements about dating, trust, family backgrounds and financial expectations in relationships.
According to him, certain behaviours displayed by some women in relationships may be linked to family upbringing and recurring family patterns, urging men to pay attention to what he described as “red flags” before committing to relationships.
“Incase you’re seeing my video for the first time, na me be the boy wey make Nigerian men no dey give girls money again,” he said at the beginning of the video.
The commentator also advised men to avoid relationships that could negatively affect their emotional peace and financial stability.
Speaking about single mothers, Geh Geh argued that men should be cautious when entering relationships with women who already have children from previous relationships, claiming some may simply be seeking an “escape route” from past mistakes.
He further made remarks about women’s family backgrounds, suggesting that some relationship behaviours could be inherited patterns difficult to change.
“Sometimes the behaviour wey women dey display na family pattern and no be you go correct their family pattern for them,” he stated.
Geh Geh also warned men against trusting partners who allegedly entertain attention from multiple men while already in relationships.
“If she dey give out her number to other men and she dey in a relationship with you, dump her,” he added.
The social commentator additionally criticised what he described as materialistic lifestyles, claiming that women who excessively value luxury items such as expensive phones and fashion accessories may not contribute meaningfully to relationships.
His remarks have since generated heated debates across social media, with some users agreeing with parts of his advice while others condemned his comments as insensitive, stereotypical and unfair toward women and single mothers.
The video continues to trend online as discussions around relationships, loyalty and modern dating culture dominate conversations on Nigerian social media platforms.
