An Enugu-based political critic, Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, has shared a screenshot of a post allegedly made by Hon. Chima Obieze, a member of the Enugu State House of Assembly, concerning a proposed crowd control bill in the state.

According to the document circulated by Ugwuanyi, the proposed legislation would require organisers of gatherings involving more than 100 people to obtain the necessary permit.
The document further states that anyone who organises or permits a gathering involving more than 100 persons without the required permit could face a fine ranging from ₦500,000 to ₦1 million or six months imprisonment.
