A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after alleging that an RCCG assistant pastor secretly withdrew about ₦483,000 from his wife’s business account.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @masurge7, she recounted how the business owner noticed that ₦264,000 was missing from her Moniepoint POS account. She sought help to investigate the withdrawals.
“A woman who knows I use Moniepoint POS machines in my business came to me yesterday. She noticed N264k was withdrawn from her POS. I dug into her account and realized the money was moved out with an ATM card. I asked her who she gave her POS ATM and she said she doesn’t have any ATM card.”
Further checks revealed several withdrawals of ₦10,000, ₦12,000 and ₦7,000, among other amounts. The total reportedly reached about ₦483,000. During the investigation, another ₦5,100 left the account. They traced the transaction to a nearby OPay agent.
The woman alleged that the business owner’s husband had secretly activated an ATM card on her account. She claimed he had used it to withdraw money from his wife’s business for two months without her knowledge.
“It turns out her husband had activated an ATM card on her account unknown to her and with that he has been withdrawing steadily from her business money for 2 months now. This man is an assistant Pastor in RCCG for that matter,” she added.
The revelation has sparked conversations about trust and financial transparency in marriage. The man’s reported position as an RCCG assistant pastor has also drawn attention to the allegation.
