A Nigerian man, Petc Godwin Okoye, has officially announced the cancellation of his traditional wedding, which was scheduled to take place on September 12, 2026.
Okoye made the announcement in a Facebook post on Saturday, October 10, saying he wanted to clear the air and inform well-wishers about the development.
In the post, he confirmed that the planned traditional marriage would no longer hold, although he did not disclose the reason for the cancellation.
He wrote: “Greeting everyone I want to use this opportunity to officially announce that my traditional marriage which supposed to be on September 12/ 2026, was officially canceled. I just want to clear the air. God bless you all.”
The announcement has brought clarity to the status of the planned ceremony, with Okoye informing those who may have been expecting the wedding to take place.
