The Italian police have disclosed the arrest of two Nigerian women in connection with the death of a 20-day-old Nigerian boy.
The child bled out after a home ritual circumcision near Rome last Friday.
ANSA reports that the women have been charged with aggravated manslaughter and illegal medical practice in Italy following their arrest on Monday.
The child’s mother is also being investigated on suspicion of conspiracy to commit manslaughter.
The boy’s parents rushed him to the hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
