Odumodublvck Claims Some Nigerian Artistes Use Voodoo To Get Hit Songs

Popular Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, professionally known as Odumodublvck, has claimed that some artistes in the Nigerian music industry resort to voodoo, popularly called “jazz”, in their quest to produce hit songs.

The rapper made the allegation during an appearance on the Tea With Tay podcast, where he spoke about the challenges of achieving commercial success in the music industry.

According to Odumodublvck, producing a hit song is not an easy task, noting that some artistes go through their entire careers without recording a song that achieves major commercial success.

He also praised Nigerian music stars Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido for their ability to consistently release hit songs over several years.

“Getting a hit song is not easy. Sometimes people even do jazz to get one. That is why you see some artists crashing out when they struggle to get a hit.

“Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido have been dropping hit songs consistently for years.

“You have to respect that. Some artistes never get a hit song throughout their careers,” he stated.

His comments have sparked interest in the pressures artistes face in the highly competitive music industry, particularly the challenge of maintaining commercial success and producing songs that resonate with a wide audience.
