Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has once again found herself at the centre of public attention following the emergence of an alleged audio recording involving her and controversial social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM).
The recording reportedly surfaced online shortly before her recent arrest, reigniting intense debate around the ongoing marriage betrayal controversy linked to popular clergyman Pastor Chris Okafor.
The leaked audio, which has since gone viral across social media platforms, captures Ogala expressing deep fear for her safety. In the recording, she is heard telling VeryDarkMan that her life was under threat and that she was prepared to hand over all voice notes and chat conversations in her possession. According to her, the materials contained nothing but the truth and could help shed light on the issues surrounding the saga.
In the emotional exchange, Ogala stated that although she felt mentally overwhelmed at the time, she believed there were spiritual forces attempting to manipulate or silence her. She insisted that her decision to share the conversations was driven by a desire to protect herself rather than to damage anyone’s reputation.
The actress also made a startling allegation in the audio, referencing a woman she described as a “comfort girl” who allegedly became pregnant for Prophet Jeremiah and later died. Ogala claimed that the matter was quietly covered up, adding that the woman had previously cried out for help, alleging that men were sent after her.
Despite the seriousness of her claims, Ogala stressed that she never intended to blackmail or extort anyone. She explained that personal tragedy had restrained her from going public earlier, revealing that she lost her brother earlier this year—a loss she described as devastating and emotionally draining.
She further clarified that her actions were not motivated by hatred or revenge. In the audio, Ogala reaffirmed her affection for Pastor Chris Okafor, stating that she still loved him deeply and would go to great lengths for him, even amid the controversy.
The resurfaced audio, coming after her arrest, has triggered widespread reactions online. Many Nigerians have expressed shock and concern, with opinions divided over the credibility of the allegations, Ogala’s emotional condition, and the timing of the audio leak. As the controversy continues to unfold, the recording has added a new layer of complexity to an already explosive public discourse.
